Tanu's Fresh Parathas

Parathas are homemade Indian flatbreads typically cooked daily to be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Parathas are made by layering and rolling dough that is then cooked on a hot griddle until it turns golden brown on both sides. They fill your kitchen with the wonderful aroma of freshly made breads with the ghee melting over.


Aloo paratha is One of the most popular paratha recipe from Punjab, India. One of the most repeated breakfast in my home is aloo paratha. Everyone loves it. Piping-hot crisp wheat flatbreads stuffed with spiced, faintly sour mashed potatoes stuffing and relished with some tangy sour mango pickle. The best part of making parathas is that you can serve them for breakfast as well pack them in the lunch box for kids. Even after some hours, the aloo paratha tastes delicious.


Onion paratha or pyaaz ka paratha is one of the popular and tasty paratha variety made in punjbai homes for breakfast. the translation of onion paratha in english would be  – whole wheat flat bread stuffed with spiced onions.
